Alert: Support the First Pell Grant Increase in 5 Years!
On January 29, Congressman David Obey (D-WI) and Senator
Robert Byrd (D-WV), chairmen of the House and Senate appropriations
committees, submitted a joint resolution to complete federal
funding for fiscal year 2007. This resolution includes a
$260 increase for the maximum Pell Grant, the first increase
since the 2002-2003 school year, when it was raised to $4,050.
using NACAC's Legislative Action Center, and urge them to
vote for this resolution, H.J.RES 20, and support this important
Pell Grant increase.
