College admissions professionals, secondary counselors and their students have a great opportunity to learn, and speak out about, issues such as financial access and societal access to higher education. Both are key to building a talented Iowa workforce.

During Visit the Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 24, guest presenters provide the necessary training and information you and your students need to help lobby for issues critical to the interests of students transitioning from high school to college. After lunch with other attendees and legislators, you'll head to the State Capitol to lobby with your Iowa Representative and Senator!

Events for Visit the Hill will be at Quality Inn & Suites Event Center in Des Moines. A block of rooms has been set aside for participants at a rate of $89.95 per night. Reserve your room by contacting the hotel directly at (515)282-5851.
