School Counseling Student Chair
Sarah Elm - Graduate Student Chair
I am so thrilled to be working as a liaison with graduate programs throughout the state of Iowa at the ISCA Graduate Student Counseling Chair. As I enter into the second year of my graduate studies, I recognize the importance and value of professional development which motivates me to advocate for all of my fellow school counseling students. ISCA is an excellent way to stay updated and informed on everything going on in the school counseling profession as well as create a network of other counselors to learn from and connect with. I am excited to foster relationships with other school counseling graduate students and engage all of us with experienced school counselors in the field.
I am currently a graduate student at University of Northern Iowa in the School Counseling program. I received a dual bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Child, Adult, & Family Services and Psychology. I currently work within the Graduate College at UNI as the Graduate Assistant for Online Content and Electronic Media where I plan events, create a quarterly newsletter, and assist with the daily function of the graduate college for the graduate community. I also work part-time as an office professional at a business in the Cedar Valley.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, listening to podcasts, and being outside. After graduate school I am looking forward to doing as much traveling as possible and discovering as many local coffee shops as I can!
